Ingrediants:-

  • 2 cups suji
  • 1/3 cup besan
  • 1cup Yogurt
  • Salt to taste
  • 2green chillies and ginger crushed
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 200ml water
  • Haldi 1/2tsp
  • 2tbsp oil
  • 2tbsp lemon juice
  • Ajwain 1/2tsp crushed on hand

Method:-

Whisk everything very well in a big bowl. The batter should not be very runny nor very thick. Leave it for 15 minutes.

Till then keep the steamer on stove and grease and steel thali.

Now whisk the batter for a minute and add ENO ( 1 tablespoon) and mix lightly now immediately transfer the batter in the greased thali and keep for steam on medium flame for 20 minutes

After 20 minutes you can check by inserting toothpick in it if you feel you can keep for 5 minutes more.

Take it out and keep for 10 minutes in air.

Tempering:

Heat 3tbsp oil put 1tsp mustard seeds (rai), slit green chillies, little curry pata and add on the dokhlas.

Garnish with grated coconut and dhania and enjoy with green chutney ?
